Titanium tube anodes are manufactured using titanium seamless tube as per ASTM B 338 Gr. 2, coated with platinum group precious metal mixed oxide coating. MMO coating consists of Ir and Ta it is suitable for use in all cathodic protection applications. Because mixed metal oxide anodes have an extremely low consumption rate, the titanium substrate remains constant throughout the design life of the anode. The leading anti-corrosion & uniform current distribution characters, it have good physical and mechanical properties of titanium. MMO coated anodes are strongly recommended for Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) application.

MMO coated tube anode is mainly for the cathodic protection of vessels, tanks, condenser, pipe lines, heat exchanger etc. Typically these anodes are used in the protection of Seawater Application.MMO anodes have been used in cathodic protection (CP) applications since 1980s.
